Rex R. Wiseman, 94, of Topeka, passed away on September 1, 2023, at Stormont Vail Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on March 15, 1929 to Ray and Florence (Cashman) Wiseman in their family farm house, west of Centralia, Kansas known as the "Shrine". Rex graduated from Centralia High School in 1947. He was a proud farmer all of his life. Rex also worked for Skillett Redimix and was a truck driver.

On December 18, 1959, he married Mary Wiseman (Rowley). Together they shared 64 beautiful years, growing and raising their family. In 1983, they made the adventure together and moved to Topeka to be closer to their children Rhonda and Rita.

Rex was a John Deere enthusiast to say the very least. Even at 94 years old, he had the most John Deere models anyone has ever seen. After his retirement, Rex spent his time refurbishing over 50 8n Ford model tractors. He loved to spend time with his family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. You had never met a more proud grandfather. Rex dated almost everything, even down to his cell phone, which he added to the back with a piece of tape.

He was extremely loved by everyone at Celebration Villa (formally Atria) and will be dearly missed.

Rex is survived by his loving wife, Mary; daughters, Rhonda (Sam) Boling and Rita (Rick) Thompson; 4 grandchildren, Justin Thompson, Matthew Boling (Leigha), Raychel Johnston (Brad) and Cody Thompson (Mariah); and great grandchildren, Brady and Brogan Johnston.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Dale Wiseman; sister, Lois Wiseman; and 1 great-grandson, Brody Johnston.

Visitation will be held at Parker-Price Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, 10:00 am at Parker-Price Funeral Home.

Graveside service will follow at the Vermillion Cemetery, in Vermillion, Kansas.

Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association and sent in care of Parker Price Funeral Home at 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka, KS 66608.
