Sally Jo Hisey, 64, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, August 15. 2023.

Sally was born June 7, 1959 in Topeka, the daughter of Gerald and Ruth (Carter) Brill. She attended schools in the Seaman district.

She worked at Volume Shoe and later was a caregiver for numerous people.

She was a member of Crossroad Community Church in Scranton.

She enjoyed caring for others, and spending time with her large family. She loved nature, and spent years on her farm tending gardens, and growing vegetables. She loved taking care of animals, and watching birds in her backyard.

Sally married Randall Hisey on July 28, 1984 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include her children Darrell and Elizabeth Hisey, half daughter Crystal Thomsen, "honorary" children Krista Brill, Mendy Hubbard, and Tony Smith, her siblings Betty, Carl, Kitty, Larry, and Robert Brill, Jim, Patty, and Tom Dillon, Susie Shauff, and Violet Seastrom, as well as 19 nieces and nephews, and numerous others.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence.

Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the funeral home.
