Michael David "Mike" Harden, 68, of Hoyt, passed away on July 2, 2023 at his home in Hoyt, Kansas.

Mike was born on November 17, 1954 to Tommy and Donna (Kent) Harden in Lawrence, Kansas.

He graduated from Seaman High School in 1972.

Mike started work for Local 83 in Kansas City as a boilermaker. He retired in 2013.

On August 9, 1997, he married Marilyn Harden (Wentling).

Mike was a member of the Boilermakers Local 83 in Kansas City. He enjoyed going to auctions with his wife every week, building model trains and competing in model train shows. Mike also loved to listen to all kinds of music.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; and his sister, Susan Gellings; brother-in-laws, Dan (Betty) Wentling and Mike (Laura) Wentling; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Mike was preceded in death by both of his parents; and his brother, Tommy Craig Harden.

Celebration of Life gathering will be on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Parker-Price Funeral Home. Private inurnment will take place at Rochester Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's Choice in Mike's name.
