In Memory Of
Marian Elizabeth Wyatt
1936 - 2023

Marian Elizabeth (Elliott) Wyatt, 86, of Silver Lake, Kansas passed away on April 16, 2023 at Midland Hospice Care with her family by her side.

Marian was born on April 29, 1936 to Joseph Emmor Elliot and Alice Elizabeth Noell Elliott in Hartford, Kansas. She graduated from Hartford High School in 1954. After graduation she enrolled at the University of Kansas School of Nursing. From there she worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in the pediatric ward.

She married Marion “Mow” Wyatt on September 28th 1958 in a small chapel in Hartford, Kansas, on a bright and sunny day with their family and friends watching. They wed to begin a 64 year journey of love, life, and family. Together they raised 4 children, Joe, Kathy, Sandy, and Clint. Marian was the heart and soul of the family. Among her talents and joys in life, were cooking, baking, gardening and canning vegetables and jellies. She used her artistic talents to create many beautiful wedding, birthday, and anniversary cakes. She loved to sew and she made everything from children’s clothes, Halloween costumes, party dresses, to anything anyone needed. Her final passion was quilting. Oh my! She loved the creative process of making a one of a kind quilt. Points, color schemes, and patterns are all what made each one special. She worked at East Indianola Elementary School as a cook and school nurse and Logan Junior High School as a nurse. She also worked at the Shawnee County Courthouse where she retired.

She and Mow then bought land and built their home and enjoyed the good country life together.

Marian is survived by her children, Kathy (Allen) Miller, Sandra Meier (Jerry Bergman), and Clint (Bonnie) Wyatt; grandchildren, Shyler Meier (Grae Wilbanks), Jacob Wyatt, Jena (Andrew) Norman, Danielle Brandle, and Spencer Meier; great grandchildren, Gauge, Logan, Jace, and Harley Norman; step grandchildren, Zac and Kelli Wichman; step great grandchild, Jayla Benton; and one brother, Carl (Jean) Elliot.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Mow” Wyatt; son, Joseph Wyatt; siblings, Keith Elliott and Enid O'Leary; son-in-law, Shane Meier; grand-daughter-in law, Danielle Wyatt; and both of her parents.

Family will greet friends on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Parker Price Funeral Home from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with reception to follow. Graveside service will take place at Prairie Home Cemetery at 2:30 pm.
