Linda D. Johnson, 71, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at a local care center.

Linda was born March 27, 1951 in Topeka, the daughter of August and Josephine (Cox) Allen. She attended Topeka High School.

She was employed by Luce Press Clippings for 35 years, retiring in 2010.

She attended Northland Christian Church and Topeka Bible Church.

She enjoyed gardening, camping, spending time outside and had a love for animals; but most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, Shelly (David) Owen, Baldwin City, Walker (Jennifer) Mettler, Topeka; grandchildren, Victoria and Madilyn Jaskiewicz, Madison and Maisie Luck, Augustus Mettler; great-grandchildren, Daniel Luck, Matteo Patterson and Ivy Flory; and siblings, Tom (Kristen) Allen, Terry Allen and Barbara (Joe) Burdiek. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9. 2023.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Helping Hands Humane Society.
