Bobby passed away February 24, 2023. He was born June 15, 1936, to Robert M. and Minnie Katherine (Jeffers) Simpson in Blue Mound, Kansas, and graduated from Seaman High School. Bobby married his high school sweetheart, Hazel May Helmick, November 16, 1956. They had three children: Robert (Dianne) Simpson, Tamara (Ron) Vinduska, and Rhonda (Jeff) Tilton.

Proceeding Bobby in death were his parents, wife Hazel, granddaughter Amanda Tilton, and brothers James and Elmer Simpson.

Bobby married Mary North Simpson October 14, 1993, who survives. Also surviving are his three children and eight grandchildren: Marlene Brooks, Jennifer Tilton, Daniel Tilton, Staci Nelson, Kristi Sloan, Jaclyn Patrick, Tyler Simpson and Sydney Simpson. They are joined by seven great-grandchildren as well as his sister, Patricia Diederich, and brothers Larry, Dick, and Scott Simpson.

Bobby worked at Sunbeam Bakery and had a long career at Kansas Power and Light. When at home, he enjoyed working outside, mowing lawns, and home projects. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's’ recitals and ballgames.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 1 from 5 to 7 pm at Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Funeral will be Thursday, March 2 at 10:00 am at Northern Hills Baptist Church 920 NW 62nd Topeka, Kansas. Internment will follow at Hoyt Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Northern Hills Baptist Church or Rose Villa Veterans Home or a charity of your choice and sent in care of Parker-Price Funeral Home.
