In Memory Of
Julie Ann Fairhurst
1944 - 2023

Julie Ann Fairhurst, 78, of Topeka, passed away on February 14, 2023 at Lexington Park Assisted Living in Topeka.

She was born on August 16, 1944 to Alvin and Florence (Raub) Fairhurst in Topeka, Kansas. Julie worked for Stormont Vail Hospital for over 20 years as a Supply Technician. In her younger years she also worked for Madame Tussauds House of Wax in Las Vegas for 5 years. This began her never ending love of Las Vegas.

Julie was known for her simplistic nature and personality. The little things in life were what meant the most to her. Whether it was traveling to Las Vegas to watch her favorite Elvis shows, special trips to Spangles for an ice cream sundae, or her excitement to see the bears in the trees when passing the Topeka Zoo, it truly meant so much to her. She was a dedicated Elvis Presley fan. Julie loved his music and that gene of tunes. She also enjoyed her time occasionally playing bingo and Scrabble with her daughter, Vicki, just the two of them. Quality time spent doing what she loved to do is what made her happy.

Julie is survived by her children, Vicki (Marvin) Schweda, William Fairhurst, and Tom (Kacy) Fairhurst; 2 step brothers and 2 step sisters; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and 1 on the way.

She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Fairhurst and both of her parents.

Visitation where family will greet friends, will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023 at Parker Price Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
