James Lynn Winney, 92, of Tonganoxie, passed away on October 27, 2022 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kansas.

James was born on September 16, 1930 to Verne and Freda (Blumer) Winney in Beattie, KS. He attended Topeka High School.

James worked as a laborer for Allis-Chalmers Agricultural Equipment and Machinery Company for over 30 years before retiring.

On August 13, 1950, James married Charlotte Frickey in Topeka. She preceded him in death on March 3, 1970. Later he married Wilma Marie Reynolds on September 16, 1970. She preceded him in death on November 13, 2003. James later married Roberta McKinzie. She survives.

James was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Tonganoxie and Countryside Christian Church in Topeka. He was an avid outdoorsman, fishing and hunting, and in his younger years helping his parents with their farm. James enjoyed vegetable gardening and making wine. He was extremely family oriented, loving to spend time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. James enjoyed traveling in his younger years as well. He would take his family on many road trips to Colorado, Lake of the Ozarks, Canada, and California.

James is survived by his children, David (Donna) Reynolds, Thomas (Toi) Reynolds, Debra (Larry) Ham, and Robert (Vickie) Winney, 8 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and siblings, Bob Winney, LaVon Hedges, and Betty Baldwin.

Visitation, where family will greet friends will be held at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, on Saturday, November 5, 2022 starting from 10:00 am- 11:00 am. Funeral services will follow starting at 11:00 am.
Graveside service will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Midland Hospice Care.
