Starting as a yardman, Marvin worked his way up at BNSF Railway. During his career of 24 years, he worked his way up to the position of Locomotive Engineer. He was a member of The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers & Trainmen, Division 75. Marvin will be remembered for cheering on KU, The Chiefs, and his interest in martial arts. As a husband and father focused on his family, he was incredibly hardworking and always put his family before himself.
Marvin is survived by his wife of nine years, Rachael Lee(Rush); and five children, Kylie(Hector), Cameron(Kaylynn), Isaaic, Myles, and Sophia Lee, as well as a Grandson, Giovanni Rubio. Also surviving Marvin are his parents; a brother, Michael(Hailey) Lee; a sister, Christy(Brad) Weiler; three half sisters, Rose Guisando, Mary Harrington, and Lori Allen; a brother in-law, Ryan Rush; three sister in-laws, Robin Rush, Salina Vega-Gonzales, and Irene Vega; two mothers in-law, Carol Hack and Carol Rush. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. Marvin is preceded in passing by his brother in-law, Roy Vega and father in-law, Michael Rush.
The family will meet friends & family from 2:30pm-3:30pm on Friday, October 14th, at Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka. A Funeral Service will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Marvin Lee Memorial Fund.
