Shawnta Louise Martin, 39, of Topeka, passed away on September 5, 2022 at her home.

Shawnta was born on May 5, 1983 to Alan and Tami (Kortan) Martin at Topeka, KS. She attended Seaman High School and worked in the hotel hospitality industry for many years.

She loved art especially painting. Shawnta also enjoyed crafts like sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Shawnta spent many years being a stay at home mother, providing for her four children. She cared deeply for her kids.

Shawnta is survived by her mother, Tami Martin; her loving children, Kyler Willis, Khloe Willis, Maxwell Smith, and Cooper Smith; siblings, Ashley (Greg) Overbey and Ethan (Courtney Vigneron) Martin; nephews, Zachary Martin, Nathan Overbey, Emryk Martin, and niece, Kobi Martin; maternal grandmother, Mary Kortan, paternal grandparents, Alan and Connie Martin; and a host of extended family members that will miss her greatly.

She was preceded in death by her father, Alan D. Martin.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, 10:00 am at the Parker-Price Funeral Home.

Graveside Service in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
