Bertha Irene Regnier, 97, of Topeka, passed away on September 5, 2022 at McCrite Plaza.

She was born on June 18, 1925 to Roy and Sylvia (Shetron) Reamer in Topeka, KS.

Bertha graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1942.

On December 9, 1951, she married Reginald Jay Regnier. Bertha and Reginald lived in Topeka, Kansas. Together they had one son, Wayne L. Regnier.
Bertha was a homemaker, taking care of Wayne and her family.

She was a member of Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church. Bertha loved to bowl on her league with her friends. She also was an avid volunteer for Stormont Vail Hospital in the gift shop for many years. Bertha loved all arts and crafts, making bird houses, pillows, and much more with her great granddaughter, Peyton. She loved to garden and tend to her flowers, vegetables, and fruits. In her younger years, Bertha and Reginald would build and sell houses for people around the area. Bertha was an amazing mother, attending Wayne's sporting events which eventually carried over to her grandchildren. She loved to be around her family and spoil her grandchildren and great granddaughter.

Bertha is survived by her son, Wayne L. (Patty) Regnier; siblings, Beverly Watson, Donna Ethridge, Arlis Stevenson, Shirley Waterman, and Betty Carroll; grandchildren, Jeff (Denise) Calvert, Jennifer Sannan, and Sarah Regnier; and great granddaughter, Peyton Sannan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reginald Jay Regnier; siblings, Roy W. Reamer, Harry Reamer, Robert E. Reamer, Floyd Reamer, Kenneth Reamer, Lucile Whitegon, Jean Hull, and Charlotte Lamb; and both of her parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 9, 2022, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, 10:00 am at the Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church, Topeka, Kansas, with graveside service to follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church.
