Norma Jean Kendig, 75, of Topeka, passed away on August 26, 2022 at her home in Topeka.

She was born on February 5, 1947 to Paul and Lois (Elmer) Anderson in Lawrence, Kansas.

Norma graduated from Topeka High School. After graduating she traveled all around the United States. Later in life, she worked as a home health aide for Loving Hearts. Norma enjoyed everything NASCAR especially her favorite driver, Ryan Newman, watching her favorite football team, the Denver Broncos, watching Ghost Adventures with her family, and was a lover of all animals. Norma was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapters 189 & 383. Norma had a huge heart and was there for anyone that needed her. She will be missed by so many.

Norma is survived by her loving daughters, Theresa Anderson, Tammy McFarland, Samantha Dillard, and Donna (Harold) Osborne; grandchildren, Vincent (Holly) Martin, Karen (Dylan) Torbert, Amanda (Austin) Robinson, Brittany Nelson; sister, Betty Powell; brother, Craig Roush; many great grandchildren and a host of unofficially adopted children.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her sister, Shirley Anderson.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 2, 2022, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Parker-Price Funeral Home in Topeka, Kansas.

Per Norma's request, cremation has taken place and a private inurnment will take place at Rochester Cemetery at a later date.
