He was born on October 6, 1933 to Edmund and Ruth (Delay) Linder in Topeka, KS.
Richard graduated from Topeka High School in 1951. After graduation, Richard join the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict.
Richard worked at the Main Post Office in Topeka as Engineman up until his retirement on March 1, 1989.
On March 26, 1958, he married Patrica Ann (Scheidegger) Linder in Topeka, Kansas. She preceded him in death in 2017.
He was an active member of Oakland Presbyterian Church.
Richard is survived by his loving children, Ronald (Kendra) Linder and Linda (Brian) Wright Foster; siblings, Melvin (Lee) Linder, Keith (Vicky) Linder, Marvin (Diane) Linder, Jerry Linder, Shirley Kincaid, and Carol Tillman.
He was preceded in death by his spouse, Patrica Ann (Scheidegger) Linder; son, Richard Linder, Jr.; siblings, Betty Hewer, Sandra Best, Evelyn Phillips, Kenneth Linder, Charles Linder, Larry Linder, Dale Linder, and infant brother, Gary Linder; and both of his parents.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2022, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Parker-Price Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, 11:30 am at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Topeka, Kansas, with , officiating.
Graveside Service will take place on Friday, September 2, 2022 12:30 pm in the Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel .
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made to Oakland Presbyterian Church of Topeka.
