She was born on April 7, 1957 to Russell and Doris (Donat) Bailey in Muncie, IN. Susan graduated from Monroe Central High School in 1975. After graduating she started her family by having her first son Gabe, in Colorado. Years later she met Mark Rose and moved to Topeka, together they had their daughter Melissa and son Nathan.
