Jessica Starnes
1978 - 2022

Jessica Lynn Starnes, 43, of Westmoreland, passed away on April 17, 2022.

She was born on May 9, 1978 to Jimmy Dale Starnes and Rhonda Kay (Robinson) Starnes.

Jessica had many different jobs but her favorites were working as a Manager for Daylight Donuts and Gene’s Heartland Grocery Store in Wamego.

On December 28, 2001, Jessica married Scott Lister in Missouri. Together they had one daughter. They later divorced. Jessica had a son from a previous marriage.

Jessica was an avid collector of rocks and rooster figurines and anything Marilyn Monroe. She enjoyed to watch the sunrise and the sunset. She and her daughter also enjoyed rock hunting down dirt roads. She kept all their rock collections in her special rock garden surrounded by coyote skulls she also found. Jessica wouldn’t be found not wearing her Nike flip flops paired with her plaid shorts, tee shirt, and Chevy hat. She loved to listen to rock-n-roll music and to be outside any chance she could. Jessica was an animal lover would never pass up petting any animal that came close to her, even if she shouldn't. Jessica always thought the best of every person and was her daughter’s biggest fan.

Jessica is survived by her loving children: Shane Reno and Jaymie Lister, as well as Makayla Kieffer who was like a daughter to her, Sister: Sherry Starnes-Scrivener (Terry), Step-Siblings: Amy Dahlstrom, Kelly Barker, Step-Mother: Mary Lou Starnes, as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Per Jessica's request, cremation has taken place and inurnment will be held at a later date.
