Regina Lee (Tabbert) Tyrell, 62, of Topeka, passed away Friday, March 11, 2022.

She was born September 1, 1959, in Lawrence, Kansas, the daughter of Duane and Cara (Goins) Malloy. She graduated from Perry Lecompton High School.

Regina was a Senior Legal Assistant at Butler and Associates Law firm in Topeka, Kansas.

She adored her two grandchildren, Illayah and Callum and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them. She also enjoyed watching the food network and cooking new recipes she would see. Regina also had a passion for listening to Rock n’ Roll music, working in her flower garden, traveling, working on home improvements and reading.

Regina married Karl E. Tyrell on April 27, 1985 in Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2006. Other survivors include a her two children, Jennifer (Greg) Coughlin and Brian Tyrell; two grandchildren, Illayah Tyrell and Callum Coughlin; her father, Duane Malloy; siblings, Julia (Steve) Gratton, Russell Malloy, John (Kathleen) Malloy and Joe Malloy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cara Malloy and sister, Marcia Malloy.

Honoring Regina’s wishes, cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 am. on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at Parker Price Funeral Home, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66604. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. A private family inurnment will take place at Lyndon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Midwest Transplant Network, 1900 W 47th Place Suite 400, Shawnee Mission, KS 66205.
