Mr. Brown was always the fun class to go to. Every single one of his students would agree to that statement. Not only was it about the subject, it was conversation, sports talk and genuine friendship. He cared deeply for those he taught in class or on the court. I will always be known as the girl who passed out on the floor while he was reading a book about a kid getting a nosebleed while under the water (wise choice of books, Brown...).
I saw him a few years after graduation and we had a beer together when I was finally of age. He said he still told that story to his classroom.
Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. He left a lasting impression on many.

Chad did it right. Chad dedicated his teaching and coaching solely for the growth and maturation of the kids he taught and coached. He even outshined the coaches at higher levels because he truely cared. Cared about the kids. He cherished his own family and he would have done anything at any time for his whole team. He was the Olathe East sports programs favorite because the students and players knew they could count on him. He was my friend for too short of a time. The Aaronson family will miss this man, he was truely a great man! He did it right!

So sorry to hear of Chad's passing. Chad was definately one of the good guys and will always be remembered as such for so many reasons. He was kind, compassionate, funny, a great leader, a great friend and so many other things that go unmentioned. I have great memories of singing with Chad in Windsong and also our school days. My Uncle Hershey/Aunt Annie always appreciated the Brown's as neighbors for so many years and I always heard about what a great family they were and they always kept me in the loop on what Chad had been up to. Taken too soon for sure. May your memories sustain and give you all a sense of peace in your days ahead.
Blessings -

Dear Dona and Ron,
I am so sorry to hear of Chad's passing. He left this earth too soon. My family and I want to extend our most sincere sympathy.
I have a precious memory to share, that I hope is comforting. Chad was a good man and here is proof.
I reviewed Chad's record book at the end of his last year in 4-H and read his story. He expressed the importance of 4-H in his life and thanked those who made it possible. I was moved to tears and credit him for motivating me to continue as a leader. Consequently, our children have also benefited from 4-H in innumerable ways and now our grandchildren as well.
Thanks to you and your family for being part of our life journey.
I hope to see you around. TS

So sorry for your loss. Chad will be missed dearly. He was one of my favorite teachers at northern hills. He was an excellent teacher. He always like joking around. Always had a smile on his face. Jarren Peavler

I did not know Chad personally, but both of my sisters, Mary and Maggie, did. They also work in Olathe School District. I later found out that he lived at Stonepost Lakeside in building next to ours. Both of my sisters have fond memories of Chad.
#RIP Chad

So sad to hear of Chad’s passing. I will always remember him as a laid back guy who loved a a good joke and as friendly as ever. Definitely a good guy who is gone too soon. Prayers to his family.

Years ago we formed a faculty drumline for a pep assembly at Olathe East. Chad was one of the first to volunteer and was extremely excited to learn how to play the quads. At our first rehearsal I showed him how to put them on and carry them. His eyes got as big as saucers! He looked at me and said these are so heavy, how do kids march around with them! I taught him a bit and he performed with us. From that day on we would always talk about drumline and how hard it is and he would relive his "glory moments" of being a drumline kid for one day. His jokes would brighten my day and talking to him would always make me smile. He was a great leader and a great person! I will miss you Chad.

Chad was one of my best friends growing up. I have so many great memories of time spent with him. He was always so kind and had such a positive attitude. He knew how to bring out the best in other people. We went to school together for 13 years and I don't ever remember him saying anything unkind about anyone. A true gentleman and a loyal friend. My heart is broken by his passing. My love and condolences to his very special family. We are praying for your peace, healing and comfort.

I first met Chad at a basketball camp at Valley Falls. Later, I coached against him when I was at Washburn Rural and he was at Northern Hills. I was fortunate to hire Chad as a teacher and basketball coach at McLouth HS. Chad had a great rapport with kids and was always an advocate for students. Rest In Peace Coach Brown! You will be missed!

Although our lives went in different directions after high school, I have lots of great memories of Chad and consider him a very good friend. Whether we were playing baseball or just hanging out, Chad was always dependable, reliable and liked by everyone. I can’t count how many times Chad, Kip, and I rented Breakfast Club and watched at the Brown’s until 2am. I specifically remember how much I enjoyed camping out one summer at one of Chad’s relatives north of Topeka with Chad, Troy, Brian and Doug and spending all night in a little boat on the pond. Great memories, my friend. You will be missed by everyone who knew you.
~ Greg Cropp - January 20, 2022
I haven’t seen Chad for years, but when we were kids I saw him often. He was 7 years older, but he was always willing to play ball or talk about sports with me. I have a specific memory of playing basketball in his driveway in the freezing cold. He had attached a plastic bucket to the pole because the 10 foot goal was too high for me. When I made a basket, the bottom of the bucket shattered because it was so cold. I felt bad that I broke the bucket but Chad just laughed about it until I started laughing too. He was a really good ‘big kid’ to be around.

We were and are sad to hear of this happening to Chad. Chad was like a second son to many families in Seaman district. We were honored to be one of those sets of parents. Player on a baseball team to a student circle of friends. Chad was clean excitement to all. Chad was 100% of whatever he was involved in. Ron and Dona did a beautiful job raising their Chad and Rona to face hurdles in life. In our opinion they dwelled the importance of GOD in ones life. Chad showed that in his activities and friendship with others. Kathy and I are unable to attend the services for Chad, we ask you to forgive us. We have your families in our thoughts and prayers. Prayers for Caitlin and other family members.

Chad was one of the nicest people that I've known and a great friend growing up. No matter how long in between our conversations Chad was always a friend, something I'll always appreciate along with his quick wit. Taken too soon, Chad will be missed.

I extend my condolences to Chad's family. I have fond memories of Chad from being a colleague at USD 345 and from when he coached my oldest son in football and baseball at SHS. He was a great role model for the players he coached and the students he taught. He will be missed by all.
~ Donna Brooks - January 19, 2022
So many amazing stories and memories of teaching, coaching and going on the "guy trips" with Chad and the gang. The connections and relationships he was able to build with his students and players is a great testament to his legacy. My sincere condolences to his family and all that had the pleasure to know Chad.
~ Keith Pelton - January 19, 2022

Chad was so great to work with as a coach and I will always remember his loyalty and friendship. I will Never forget the Hayden game where he pushed the WIBW camera when the Hayden coach and I were in a disagreement! He was definitely loyal! We have laughed about that ever since.
We will miss Chad greatly!

~ Linda Foster - January 19, 2022
Chad was one of a kind. One of my favorites memories occurred when as a Sr. Seaman football player he and Chip McNorton and other Sr. players camped out at the locker room door overnight so they could be the first ones to check out equipment the next morning.
Chad returned to coach with me at Seaman and was a fantastic addition to our staff. His ability to relate to the players made him a great asset to the program.
God's Speed my friend.??

Chad is and was a great Nephew anyone would be proud to call a friend. He was Quick-witted and always had a good sense
of humor, but also a serious side and willingness to help when he could.
Chad is my Nephew and will be greatly missed, by myself, and all who knew him.
