Guadalupe "Lupe" Rodriguez

Lupe was born on December 12, 1940 to Jesus Z. and Juanita Rodriguez in Topeka, KS.
She grew up in the bottoms neighborhood, and attended Lincoln School on Southeast of 5th and Madison.
She worked at Josten's American Yearbook for 10 years and later as a Lens Technician for Hawkins Optical for over 20 years, while keeping a part time job. Lupe always had two jobs to provide for her family.
She loved to be outdoors, fishing, watching her grandchildren play baseball and softball, and going to garage sales. Lupe loved to dance and play crossword puzzles. She was also an amazing cook. Her specialty was her famous rice and enchiladas. Lupe was a very outspoken lady that will be missed by many.
Lupe is survived by her children, Michael (Andrea) Rodriguez, Cindy Rodriguez, Tina (Twayne) Bledsoe, Robert "Rick" (Amy) R. Foster, Jr., Mia (Wes) Rodriguez-Foster, and Annita "Neitha" (Victor) Rodriguez; 170 grandchildren; sister, Elisa R. Mendez; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; and her dog, Chola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Daughter, Mary "Christina Real; infant daughter, Tina Marie Foster; siblings, Mary Ann Palomo, Joe Rodriguez, Margaret Rodriguez Fajardo; Grandchildren, Geovani "Geo" Plakio, Germaul "Boogie" Rayton,and Marini "Riri" McKnight; great great neice, Ma'leinna Cooper; cousins, Daniel "Danny" Rodriguez, Mary "Babalou" Gager, and David Gager.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 28, 2022, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Parker-Price Funeral Home.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm
