Betty L Sides, 83, of Hoyt, passed away on November 8, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital.

She was born on April 22, 1938 to Clinton and Charlene (Bridge) Rhodes in Marysville, Kansas. Betty graduated from Marysville High School.

On July 4, 1965 she married Gary Lee Sides in Marysville. He preceded her in death.

She worked as a Bridal Consultant for Home & Beautiful Brides for over 20 years before retiring. Betty made all the floral arrangements for all of her children’s weddings. She was a member of Knights of Columbus and Young Girl / Rainbow Girls.

Betty loved to make silk flowers. She enjoyed going to the casino. Betty also was an avid collector of red birds and Betty Boop memorabilia.

Betty is survived by her children, Nicole D. (Brian) Kesler, David A. DeVorss, and Lonnie L. (Trisha) Sides; Grandchildren, Cody M. (Mariah) Bond, Cassandra C. Sides, Paige A. Blank, Gary N. Sides, Brianna N. Kesler, Christopher R. Sides, and Nalanie D. Kesler; Great Grandchildren, Kaydence L. Sides, Kyle L. Sides, Holli Lee Ann Bond, and Bryson J. Bond.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; both of her parents; siblings, Charles E. Rhodes, Dorothy M. Burns, and Gordon E. Rhodes.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Parker Price Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021, 11:00 am at Parker Price Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation and sent in care of Parker Price Funeral Home.
