Agnes Nitz, 91, of Topeka, passed away on September 14, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital.

Agnes was born on August 25, 1930 to Theodor and Louise (Binneman) Engelhardt at Bremen, Germany.

Agnes worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk for Goodyear for over 38 years before retiring.

She loved to work and be outside. She was an avid crochet artist, making doll clothes, afghans, baby clothing and blankets, and scarves. Agnes loved to spend time with her family and she was a member of Northland Christian Church.

On December 4, 1946, she married Jake Nitz in Germany. Together they shared 72 years.

Agnes is survived by her Daughter, Yvonne Nitz.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jake; both of her parents; Brothers, Theodore Engelhardt, Manfred Engelhardt, and Lohtar Engelhardt; and Sister, Hildegard Limberg.

Agnes will lie in state at Parker Price Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Private family entombment will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel.
