Eldon K. Adams, 90, Ozawkie, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021 at home with family at his side.

He was born May 18, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri. The son of George and Lillian (Lang) Adams.

He served in the United States Air Force until being honorably discharged. Eldon worked most of his career in the maintenance department for Santa Fe Railroad and farmed fulltime. Eldon was well known for having a green thumb and the ability to fix just about anything.

On October, 31, 1956, he married Isabel Adams (Cook) in Topeka, Kansas and they shared 62 years of marriage together.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Meriden, Order of the Eastern Star, Meriden United Methodist Church, The Odd Fellows, The Grange, and Jefferson County 4-H.

Eldon is survived by his children: Debra A. Adams, Christopher L. Adams (Kirsti), Amy J. Adams Mitchell (William “Bill”), Brian L. Adams (Stacie), and Vicki D. Dressler (Jason); siblings: Billie D. Adams, Janet Torluemke, Donna Cummings, and Danny “Dan” R. Adams; 15 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Isabel, both parents, siblings; Melvin Adams, Doris Brown, Norma Reed, and Sandra Newell.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2021, 10:00am at the Meriden Cemetery, Meriden, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Jefferson County Friends of 4-H or Jefferson County 4-H Foundation or Jefferson County Meals on Wheels all in care of the funeral home, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608.
