Teresa A. “Tess” Berroth, 64, of Alma, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

She was born June 20, 1956, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Fernando N. and Jeannette (Gray) Delgado. She was a graduate of Topeka High School.

Tess was employed by the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, later becoming AT&T, for many years before retiring.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Alma, Kansas where she sang in the choir and participated in their quilting group.

Tess married Randy McIntosh on February 5, 1975. They later divorced. She married Scott Berroth on July 2, 1999. She then moved and they made their home in Alma, KS. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2015. She is survived by her sister, Cynthia Penrod of Topeka; her step-daughter, Brenda Havenstein; her son-in-law, Jacob Havenstein and their children, Jackson and Jacob Havenstein all of Alma, KS; her daughter-in-law, Lacey Berroth of Clay Center, KS and her children, Hayden, Shaelynn and Ryan Berroth; two nephews, Gary Penrod of Delia, KS and Mark Penrod of Topeka; three nieces, Angela Clarke, Emily Delgado and Alicia Delgado-Gomez, all of Topeka; several great nieces and nephews, several great-great nieces and nephews and several other extended family members from the Berroth family. She also leaves behind several dog friends who always looked forward to her treats.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Judy Delgado-Gomez; and her step-son, Ben Berroth.

Tess enjoyed traveling with family and friends and attending their sporting events. Her other hobbies included quilting, singing in the choir, reading, working puzzles and watching KU Basketball. When her husband was alive they attended many car races and loved watching NASCAR.

Honoring her request cremation is planned. A memorial ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church, 218 W 2nd St, Alma, KS 66401. Inurnment will follow at Alma Cemetery. Parker Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, in Topeka is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, KS 66604, St. John Lutheran Church, 218 W 2nd St, Alma, KS 66401 or American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
