James A. Stoops of Hurst, Texas passed away on February 1, 2021 in Hurst, Texas.
He was always remembered as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Friend and Colleague to those that knew him.
He was born on July 25, 1947 to Ralph and Ethel Stoops in Topeka, Kansas. Jim was an avid golfer, bowler and loved working in the yard with his wife Sharren. He graduated from Topeka High School ( Topeka, Ks) in May of 1965.
He worked for BNSF Railway for 39 ½ years. The first part of his career was in Topeka, KS. He was later transferred to the Fort Worth area in 1996. He retired from BNSF in 2007. Jim proudly served in the Army Reserve. Jim was happily married to Sharren (Mack) Stoops for 51 years.
Jim is survived by his wife Sharren of Hurst, TX; son, Jason Stoops of Georgetown, TX; daughter in law Annie Stoops; grandsons, Jacob and Jayden Stoops. He is also survived by his brother Harold Stoops and wife Mary Stoops.
Funeral Service will be, Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Mount Hope Mausoleum at 12:00 p.m. with military honors.
