Charles Arthur Davis, 71, of Topeka, passed away on February 11, 2021 at Stormont Vail Hospital.

He was born on August 7, 1949 to Marvin and Bernice (Randall) Davis in Topeka, KS.

He graduated from Seaman High School in 1967.
Charles served in the United States Army as a heavy vehicle operator in the Vietnam War, when he earned the Bronze Star Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1975.

He worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He retired from Hamms after 14 years.

On June 26, 1971, he married Deborah Davis (Chatham) in Harveyville, at Deborah’s parent’s home. Together they had one son.

He was a member of Post 400, he was an avid gardener and loved to grow lots of tomatoes. His favorite part, was giving them away to people. Charles enjoyed watching his son race cars, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Charles is survived by loving Wife, Deborah; Son, Jeffrey "Jeff" Davis and his fiancé, Shelly Dechand; Grandchildren, Dalton Davis and Dayci Davis.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents; two brothers, and one sisters.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka, Saturday 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
