Terrance “Terry” N. Lohrbach, 88, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020.

He was born in Chicago, IL, August 15, 1932. Son of Norman and Rose Dorman Lohrbach. Rose passed on January 27, 1937, early in Terry’s life. Terry was raised by Norman and Opal Lumsden Lohrbach, Aurora and Yorkville, IL.

Terry attended school in Aurora, IL before entering into the United States Air Force, earning his GED. He served from February 1952 till June 1956. He was a Laboratory Technician for the USAF 90th SRQ and was in the 190th Air National Guard. After completion of his military career he worked for Santa Fe Railway in the accounting department for 38 years in Topeka. After retiring, he worked as a doorman for the State of Kansas, House of Representatives.

Terry was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church, and served on the Board of Elders, Trustees, and Finance committees; he was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America, National DeSoto Club, 90th SRW, NARVE, American Legion Post 225, Ozawkie, KS, and was a part of the Honor Flight which went to Washington D.C. in April of 2014.

He married Flora Marlene Kintz Lohrbach on November 18, 1955. She survives.

Other survivors include their five children, Jeanette Lohrbach of Topeka, Susan Danko and her husband Kevin of North Augusta, SC, Linda McCauley and her husband Roger of Topeka, James Lohrbach of Meriden, Joseph Lohrbach and his wife Lois of Meriden; five grandchildren, Heather and her husband Dustin Fett, Amanda and her husband Jason East, Terrance Joseph “TJ” Lohrbach, Daniel and his wife Audra Lohrbach, and Dustin Wade; four great grandchildren, Madison Butler, McKenzie Butler, Marissa East, and Ryan Marie Lohrbach; two step grandchildren, Stephen Danko and Bryan Danko; four step great grandchildren, Megan East, Madison East, MacKenzie East, and Chloe Fett; and one step great great grandchild, Everleigh East; sisters, Norma Jean Simmons of Sandwich, IL, Buena Mae Bass of Aurora, IL, and Norma Lee Rial of Ft. Dodge, IA.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Opal Lohrbach, mother Rose Marie Lohrbach; and sister, Betty Reese.

The family would like to thank all of the health care workers, Nurses, and Doctors, especially the St. Francis Oncology Team, all of whom took great care of Terry.

Terry will lie in state at Parker Price Funeral Home Thursday, December 17, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Visitation with the family receiving friends will be held from
4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral Service will be at Calvary Lutheran Church in Topeka at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2020. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
