Dean was born on July 30, 1932 to J. Henry and Minnie (Weimer) Linsey at Reading, KS.
Dean served in the United States Marines for four years, where he fought in the Korean War and served as Sergeant.
Dean worked as a Banbury Trucker for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. where he retired after 40 years.
On June 4, 1954 Dean married Carolyn Blauvelt in Santa Monica, California. After they married, they moved to Topeka for work, where they later settled and started their life in Silver Lake, Kansas. Together they had two children.
Dean is survived by his son, Dean (Jeanne) Linsey; grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) Brown, Colin Linsey; Great grandchildren, Kevin Juedes, Kris and Kaiden Brown, and Brooke and Logan Linsey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carolyn Linsey; son, Russell Linsey, sisters, Henrietta Henderson and Leona Parre; and brother, George Linsey.
Ceremonial Lie In State will be Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from noon until 5:00 p.m.
Private family graveside service will be held at Alpine Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Silver Lake Fire Department.
