1940 - 2020

John Joseph Wolski Jr. passed away peacefully at Stormont Vail Hospital, surrounded by his family on October 12, 2020. He was born October 19,1940 in Cleveland, OH, the son of John Joseph Wolski Sr. and Stella Barbara Wolski.

He graduated high school at the age of 16 and went on to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Ball State University. He served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1976 as a navigator on B-52s and flew 185 missions over Vietnam. After leaving his service with the rank of Captain, he worked as the Chief of Engineering at the VA hospital until his retirement in 2004.

John had many collections including Budweiser steins and kiddie cars. He enjoyed gardening and loved to bargain shop.

He is preceded in death by his parents. John leaves behind his wife Lois, who he married in 1982, 5 children, Nicolette Hazelett of Phoenix AZ, Tricia Crossman of Topeka, John Wolski III (Elizabeth) of Warsaw, IN, Erin Patrick (Trey) of Topeka, and Natalie Nixon (Kyle) of Topeka. Thirteen grandchildren, Madison, Emily, Reagan, Skyler, Sage, Briggs, Sheamus, Liam, Dylan, Deena, Nixon, Stella and Sloane. And his fur buddy Casper.

A private family service has been arranged at Leavenworth National Cemetery.
