Gilbert L. "Gil" Goodnow
1941 - 2020

Gilbert “Gil” L. Goodnow, 79, of Grantville, passed away on August 27, 2020.

He was born on June 22, 1941 to Glenn and Lenarie (Jacquot) Goodnow in Topeka, KS.

Gilbert worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for Operating Engineers Local 101 for over 30 years.

On July 29, 1972, Gil married his wife, Wanda.

Gil was a current member of an Independent Christian Church, the Topeka Rose Society, National Rifle Association (NRA), and Operating Engineers Local 101. He was a past elder of Countryside Christian Church, and had been an active member of Northland Christian Church.

His main interests were his faith in Christ and family, farming, landscaping and horticulture. Gil was project oriented and was always optimistic in his entrepreneurial adventures. When studying bible scripture, he could recall exact details and information. He believed in work ethic and honesty.

Gil never made rash decisions, but would study the situation carefully and would pray much about it before reaching his decision.
