Safe in the arms of Jesus, Freda Arlene (Kitt) Corbin left her earthly bonds behind on May 4, 2020. She was born March 15, 1929 at a rural farm east of Maple Hill, KS. She was the youngest of three children born to Fred and Mary (Clark) Kitt. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1947. She married the love of her life, George Samuel Corbin, on May 29, 1947. They were happily married for almost 61 years when he preceded her in death April 4, 2008. Also preceded by her son, Ron Corbin; sister, Camilla Waldy; brother, Olin Kitt and niece Martha Kay Waldy;
Freda was employed by and retired from Macy’s/Dillard’s. She loved her family and friends, taught Sunday school and was a Brownie and Scout Leader. Freda was a member of Second Presbyterian Church for over 60 years, also American Legion Auxiliary and D.A.V. Auxiliary.

Freda was a good listener and was detailed, organized and meticulous. She enjoyed her grandchildren’s activities. She took pride in her appearance and the appearance of her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheila (Laro) Hill, her son, Robby (Sandi) Corbin. Her grandchildren; Michelle (Todd) Schreiner, Marci (Thomas) Miller, Allison Arlene (Brandon) Nelson, Robyn (Brian) Devlin, and Collin (Sara) Corbin. Her great-grandchildren: Mariah (Keaton), Madeline, Samuel, Aspen, Gate, Chloe, Elise, Sierra, Ashlyn, Savannah, Corbin, Hayden, Vincent and Caleb; Her great-great-grandson, Aaron. Also surviving is her daughter-in-law, Sandra Mentzer, along with her children, grandchildren & great-grand-children.

Due to COVID 19, there will be a private service held on Friday, May 8th.

Freda will lie in state after 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2020 until 7:00 PM at Parker-Price Cremations, Funeral & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Topeka, KS 66608
