Some of the terrific memories with Jim.
1. Wedding day of Allyson & Brian, playing Golf before the Wedding. Then the ride from the Church to their wedding reception. We were very concerned about their wedding guests being very hungry waiting on us to show up
2. Meeting Jim & Jolene for many Lunches planning their Wedding.
3. Having Dinner on the Rosebud Restaurant Patio in Downton Chicago to celebrate the Birth of Grandson Carter.
4. The many Baptism Celebrations of our 4 mutual Grandsons.
5. The many Holiday Family Gatherings to celebrate the Holidays.
6. The Firecracker Cookouts at Jim & Jolene's Home in Topeka. Then the Fireworks Shows after the dinners that Jim always so well planned, organized & engineered.
7. Going to the KC Royals Games on Father's Day with Jim & Brian.
8. Enjoying & watching together the Grandsons' Baseball, Soccer, Basketball & Football games.
9. Chatting & discussing our favorite College & Pro Sports Teams successes & failures.
Jim really loved God, all his Family, & Friends.
Jim's Life was a LIFE WELL LIVED.
Jim was a really fabulous friend & was like a Brother. I miss & always will miss him deeply. RIP Jim, God bless.

To the Family of Jim File,
I was shocked to see Jim's obituary in the Topeka Capital-Journal last Saturday. Jim and I attended Topeka West High School during 1965-1968 and were in the same math class together during our sophomore and junior years. Both of us graduated as members of the TWHS Class of 1968. Jim was kind of a quiet guy in high school, same as myself.
When new Westar Electric power lines were being placed for the Home Depot and Bimbo Bakery facilities in south Topeka, I recall seeing Jim as a crew supervisor during that project. At the time, I was a truck driver for Ruan hauling Target semi-trailers out of their distribution warehouse to the south of Home Depot. Didn't get a chance to talk with him, but I did see him several times while those power poles were being installed and strung with wire cables.
My sympathy and condolences to Jim's family members. JTC

Dearest Jolene (my favorite cousin :-),
It is with deepest regret and heartfelt loss that I learned from mom (Kay Fangman) yesterday that Jim has passed from this earth. I will keep you and Brian (and family) in my daily rosary during this time of sorrow.
It was so good to visit with you and Jim at Mom and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary a year and half ago!!
Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you during this time and please know that you are always welcome to visit us in MO (the crappie are just beginning to run).
God bless you and your family. Love! tom fangman

So sorry for your loss. Glad we got to see you in Topeka a couple of months ago. We enjoyed the little visit.
It's always hard to lose a loved one, but you got to know he is in a better place, reuniting with your daughter.

Jolene, so sorry to hear of Your loss. I still think of him as JB; I remember him fondly when Linda and I were dating as he would always come out of the house to talk to me about cars. He was still in High School when I first met him and we always got along great; his Dad and JB and I would enjoy just sitting around and chatting. Again so sorry for Your loss. He is with the Lord now and with Hillary. Many Blessings. Buck
