Joyce Irene May, 81, Topeka, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019.

She was born August 1, 1938, in Mobile, Alabama, the daughter of Jesse and Blanche (Bunnell) Storer.

Joyce was a teacher, retiring after many years in the education industry.

She was a member of Northern Hills Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children, Cindy Steinebach, Roger Houston, and Thomas (Tracy) Houston; two siblings, Stan (Helen) Storer and Brita (Don) Cline; three grandchildren, Nikki Steinebach, Abraham (Megan) Steinebach, and Jesse Houston; and four great-grandchildren, Kyler Steinebach, Mar'Kee Steinebach, Mar'Tiera Steinebach, and Lincoln Steinebach.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jim and Eldon Storer.

Joyce enjoyed crafting, quilting, and genealogy.

Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, December 20, 2019 at Parker-Price Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held this evening from 6-7pm at the funeral home.
