V. Ruth Collins, 95, Topeka, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019.

She was born May 18, 1924, in Whiting, Kansas, the daughter of Guy and Lillie (Davis) Greemore. She graduated from Netawaka High School, Washburn University and earned her Master’s degree from the University of Kansas.

She taught at Topeka Schools in the special education department, where she retired in the early 80s.
Ruth was a member of Santa Fe Trail Plainsman Gun Club and attended Highland Heights Christian Church. She loved art and enjoyed taking art classes.

She was married to Duane Collins who preceded her in death in 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.

Survivors include two siblings Barbara Hahn and Larry Greemore; and numerous family and friends.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm followed by funeral services at 2:00 pm Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence, Topeka. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
