In Memory Of
Robert W. Kelly
1950 - 2019

Robert W. Kelly passed away on October 2, 2019 at Stormont Vail Hospital, following a brief illness, at the age of 69.

Robert was born September 28, 1950 in Topeka, KS. He was the third of five children of Richard and Margaret Kelly (Mitchell). He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Kelly.
Robert graduated from Seaman High School in 1968 and attended Washburn University. He married his High School sweetheart Janice S. Wright on March 6, 1971. They resided in Topeka, where they raised their family. He worked for Frito Lay for over 35 years, retiring 4 years ago. Together Janice and Robert enjoyed traveling and enjoying their family time, but chances are you could find them supporting their grandchildren at sporting events.

Robert will be remembered for the love of his family and caring, although he had an onery and prankster personality. He was dealt with some hard-hitting medical conditions, but that never stopped him from enjoying and living life. He was always kind, caring and generous to friends and family.

He is survived by his wife; three children, Melody (Aron) Connell, Tonya (Justin) Glasgow, and Larry (Julie) Kelly; and five grandchildren, Christopher, Dawson, Braden, Paige and Lauren. Surviving siblings, Rick (Brenda) Kelly, Sherry (Steve) Thomas, Lonnie (Brenda) Kelly and Mike (Michelle) Kelly.

Honoring his request, cremation is planned.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 11:00am on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave., Topeka. A visitation will be an hour prior to the celebration at 10:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to:

The only thing better than me having you as my Husband is my children having you as their Father.
