Marilyn was born January 14, 1937, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of William and Vivian (Reade) Brown. She was united in marriage on March 30, 1956 to William Carson in Topeka.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, various crafts and in previous years cooking. She appreciated the wonderful neighbors she had, the R&R group she socialized with and getting together with all of her family and seeing her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Bill; daughter, Sherri (Timothy) Wullenschneider of North Newton; sister, Billie McKinley of Topeka; sister, Eula Miller of Yakima, WA; granddaughter, Bethany (Michael) Alspaw of Wichita, KS; granddaughter, Emily (Tyler) Wullenschneider, of Hutchinson, KS; great-grandson, Preston Alspaw; great-granddaughter, Violet Alspaw; great-granddaughter, Lily Alspaw; great-granddaughter - on her way, Esther Wullenschneider; nieces and nephews, Cindy Morris, Shelly Burris, Mark Burris, Jeff Miller, Jennifer Brown and six great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Delores Jean Brown.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Avenue, Topeka. A visitation will be the prior evening on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1320 SE 6th Ave, Topeka, KS 66607; or Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St, Topeka, KS 66604.
