In Memory Of
Nancy E. Roberts
1954 - 2019

Nancy was born on the family farm near Holton, Kansas in 1954. She was the youngest of six children from the marriage of Ralph and Jeanette Jordan. Her family, friends, people, pets, and the out of doors were what she cared for and loved.

As a youth she enjoyed roller skating with her friends at the rink, sledding in winter, swimming, bicycling, tennis, basketball, and many other sports. Summer vacations meant heading off in the family Volkswagen bus to go tent camping and to explore the various National Parks here and in Canada. Nancy loved the water and performed in a synchronized swim show at Washburn University at age 16 and was on the Washburn Rowing Crew.

Nancy graduated from the Newman School of Nursing in Emporia, Kansas and worked as a RN nurse for 40 years caring for people and for her family. If a family member was sick, she was willing to help with information or by being there.

In Emporia, she met and married Perry Partlow in 1980 and in 1982 a son, Walter was born. In 1999, she moved to Oregon and married Rick Roberts in 2002. She, Rick, their children and grandchildren enjoyed lots of family activities and the out of doors. They went snowmobiling, horseback riding, water skiing, hunting for Elk, fishing, boating, and various other activities. Nancy enjoyed raising Mastiffs and caring for her horses. Nancy loved raising cattle, she and the grandchildren would spend hours naming them.

Nancy was delighted when she and Rick were baptized on May 25th. For the last 17 months she fought a long hard battle against cancer. Nancy flew back to Kansas for the last time on July 25 and departed this life on Monday, July 29, 2019 in Silver Lake, Kansas.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Rick Roberts, her son Walter Partlow, her step-daughter Tiffany Walbridge (Cody Hollingsworth), six grandchildren all of Oregon, her brothers Bruce (Sarah) Jordan, Nathan (Debbie) Jordan of Oklahoma, Jeffrey (Julie) Jordan of Colorado, Amzie Jordan, and sister Joyce (Mike) Jordan of Kansas.

Graveside services at 2 pm Thursday, August 1 at Elmira Cemetery, near Beloit Kansas. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in Oregon later.
