She was born October 12, 1941, in Moberly, Missouri, the daughter of Glenn and Mattie (Wright) Ash.
Glenda was lovingly known as “Grandma” at McDonald's in North Topeka, where she was employed for 10 years.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, she had so many friends there and enjoyed her bible study every Saturday. She loved her gift exchange, bargain shopping and going out to eat with her family and friends.
Glenda married Melvin A. Reffett on December 9, 1963. He preceded her in death March 15, 1993. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Ash and infant brother, Jerry Wayne.
Survivors include her daughter, Melodi (Aaron) Berry; three grandchildren: Mark Galvan, Abigail Berry and Joel Berry, all of Topeka; special niece, Renee Reffett; several nieces and nephews; best friend, Betty Flowers and numerous other friends.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2019 at First Church of the Nazarene. Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Belvue.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 1001 SW Buchanan St. Topeka, KS 66604.
