Harry E. Busey, 91, of Auburn, joined his precious Jesus in heaven and his babe on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Homestead of Auburn.

He was born June 28, 1927, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Noel and Ruth (Morris) Busey. He was a US Army veteran serving at the end of WWII.

Harry was employed with Meadow Gold, later Beatrice Foods, retiring after over 30 years. He later continued in custodial work at Topeka High, Washburn Rural and Cair Paravel Latin School.

He was a member of the Topeka First Free Methodist Church.

Harry married Joy Grace Betry on December 24, 1950 at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church. She entered the gates of heaven on February 20, 2018. He was also preceded by his parents, two brothers, Merle F. Busey and Marvin D. Busey and daughter, Donna Busey-Grant.

Survivors include his children: Margaret Jean Nelson (Bob); Craig L. Busey (Cindy) and Christopher W. Grant; four grandchildren: David, Kimberly, Cheri and Cory and seven great-grandchildren: Nicole, Kyle, Samuel, Colby, Mason, Penelope and Logan. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law: John Garth Betry (Lois) and Morris R. Betry (Elizabeth).

Harry and Joy loved camping and were members of Good Sam's Camping Club. He enjoyed dominos and card games, in particular Skip-Bo (Zip-Bo). He truly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought so much joy to his life.

A Memorial Service will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Topeka First Free Methodist Church. Family interment will be at Rochester Cemetery, Topeka. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Monday, April 15, 2019 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka.
