She was born May 5, 1946 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of John and Marie Zayac.
Linda graduated from Highland Park High School.
On April 22, 1967, she married Gaylord Leon Auwarter in Topeka. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2005.
Survivors include a daughter: Rebecca (Dave) Collom, Holton, KS; a son, Kenneth Auwarter, Topeka; two grandchildren: Dylan Collom and Kelsey Collom and a sister, Sharon (Jim) Suwalski, Topeka.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, being a part of the Gold Wing Motorcycle Group and traveling.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS 66608 and will be donated to a charity at a later date.
