Dwight “Nick” Nichols, 76, of Silver Lake, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019.

He was born November 16, 1942, in Greenville, Kentucky, the son of Elmer and Claudia (Crowder) Nichols.

Dwight was employed by the Hoppy Manufacturing for 30 plus years. He enjoyed traveling on his motorcycle, spending time with family. He loved classic cars, listening to country music, the KC Chiefs and western movies.

He was a member of Legion Riders Post 31 in Rossville, KS. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam era.

He married Linda Nichols on September 20, 1969. She preceded him in death on March 5, 2003. He later married Sara Nichols on August 20, 2011 in Wamego. Survivors include a daughter, Angie (Randy) Clatterbuck; sister, Charlotte (Robert) Breault; brother, Dwayne (Stephanie) Nichols. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Elmer Nichols.

A Celebration of Life will be at 7:00 pm., Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka. Interment will take place at Scottsville Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2019. The family will greet friends an hour prior to service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in honor of Nick to help with funeral expenses.
