Richard “Rich” Freeman, 70, Meriden, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2018.

He was born November 26, 1947, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Orville and Earlis (Holden) Freeman. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1965 and attended Washburn University.

In 1966, Rich began work with KP&L and later Westar where he retired in 2007 as construction project inspector.

Survivors include four children: Brian (Tammy) Peterson, Courtney Freeman (Wes Steinly), Robynn Freeman and Jace Freeman; three sisters, Barbara (Dick) Snyder, Patricia Hildebrand and Sue Freeman-Banks and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Rich’s hobbies were cars cars and cars. Car shows, watching and going to any kind of auto racing. He was a member of the Falcon Club of America. He had been a member of the Capital City Van Club.

He cherished his Family!

Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 N.W. Independence Avenue, Topeka and service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
