Kasen Cole Smith

Kasen Cole Smith, 2, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Children’s Mercy Hospital after his continued battle with UBA5.

He was born May 30, 2016, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Cody and Amber (Dempewolf) Smith.

Kasen and his family were members of Good News Church and active with TARC.
Survivors include his parents; sister, Sadie Smith; grandparents, Tammy (Jeff) Bates, Greg Dempewolf, Kevin (Nikki) Horn and Dennis and Debbie Smith; aunts and uncles, Lee (Jamie) Dempewolf, Kaleb Horn, Kaden Horn, Chris Smith, Kara (Charlie) Cross and Kenton (Rachel) Smith; and three cousins, Callee Dempewolf, Adalynalynn Cross and Rylie Thompson and numerous extended family members.

Kasen enjoyed playing with his sister, swinging and his bumble bee.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th St., Topeka. Interment will follow. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Mount Hope Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for the UBA5 Foundation c/o Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 245 NW Independence Ave, Topeka, KS.
