Margaret E “Maggie” Smith, 73, Topeka, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at a local care center.
Maggie was born June 26, 1945 in San Francisco, CA, but was raised in the Topeka and Silver Lake areas. She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1962.
She was employed as a reservation & ticket agent for Delta Airlines for 30 years. Maggie later worked for the Kansas Legislature in the Document room.
Margaret was married to Lex D. Smith in 1976. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a brother, Tom Jordan of Topeka; a step-daughter, Johnna Jones, Long Island, NY; and a host of other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Parker-Price Funeral Home, 245 NW Independence. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
