She was born July 28, 1943, in Melvern, Kansas, the daughter of William and Trecie (Sanderlin) Bailey. She received her nursing certificate from Washburn University.
Margaret was a home healthcare nurse retiring after 40 years.
Mrs. Maze was a member of Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church.
Margaret married Robert C. Maze on September 12, 1970 in Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy (Jim) Massey; son, Robert (Gary) Anthon; sisters and brother, Mary Lou Lininger, Esther Bateson and Danny (Robin) Bailey; grandchildren, Shelby Moten (William May), Cameron Moten, Torey Moten, Sophie Hodges, Brandon (Kayla) Massey, Brad Massey, Crystle Moten and one great-grandson, Kaydon.
She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Wilma Moore, LeRoy Bailey, Donna Kelly and Raymond Bailey.
Margaret loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending her grandchildren's activities and events. Watching KU basketball and soaps with her best friend, Marilyn. She loved her FaceBook, chocolate, popcorn and soda.
Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Mater Dei Assumption Catholic Church, 204 SW 8th Avenue, Topeka. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions.
