Josephine Cox Allen, 95, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018.

She was born June 5, 1922, in Fremont, Nebraska, the daughter of Benjamin and Una (McCully) Cox. She attended Wamego High School. Josephine was a homemaker.

Josephine married August A. Allen on December 21, 1949 in Topeka, Kansas. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Reva Jeane Loy.

Survivors include her children: Linda (Bill) Johnson, Topeka; Thomas (Kris) Allen, Normal, IL; Terry Allen, Topeka and Barbara (Joe) Burdiek, Topeka; six grandchild: Walker Mettler (Jennifer), Shelly Allen (David), Jennifer Burdiek (Drake), Kevin Burdiek, Sean Allen (Heather) and Joel Allen (Grace) and 12 great-grandchildren: Victoria and Madilyn Jaskiewicz, Augustus Mettler, Madi and Maisie Luck, Briley Reagan Jo Wylie, Lily and Keira Allen, Giselle, Amarah, Kingston and Kadence Allen.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Parker-Price Cremations, Funerals & Receptions. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
